What is Façade Testing?

We are Australian Facade Hose Testing — a Melbourne-based team of qualified façade engineers and specialist technicians dedicated to building envelope performance.

Our expertise spans major cities across Australia, with a focus on testing glazed façades, curtain walls, storefronts, and cladding systems in accordance with industry-recognised standards such as AAMA 501.2, ASTM E1105, and AAMA 502.

With engineering precision and practical insight, we’ve successfully delivered hundreds of on-site tests for builders, architects, and developers, helping ensure façade systems perform reliably under real-world conditions.

AAMA501.2 Testing

The AAMA 501.2 test is designed for field testing of installed exterior fixed (non operable) wall systems—specifically storefronts, curtain walls, and sloped glazing—to evaluate their resistance to water penetration under simulated wind-driven rain conditions.

AAMA502 Testing

The AAMA 502 test is intended for newly installed operable fenestration products, such as windows, doors, and skylights.

ASTM E1105 Water Infiltration Testing

This test is widely used for field verification of installed fenestration systems, ensuring they meet project specifications and certification standards.
